AMERICAN STANDARD GUITARS AND BASSES ARE CRAFTED WITH PREMIUM ASH AND ALDER BODIES. SONICALLY, ASH IS SLIGHTLY BRIGHTER AND HAS A LOT OF POP, WHILE ALDER TYPICALLY PRODUCES THE MOST BALANCED TONE, WITH EQUAL HIGHS, MIDS AND LOWS.
NECK, FINGERBOARD
AND FRETS
AMERICAN STANDARD NECKS ARE MAPLE, WHICH SOUNDS BRIGHT AND HAS GREAT SUSTAIN, AND ARE SCULPTED WITH A COMFORTABLE MEDIUM THICKNESS AND MODERN “C” SHAPE. FINGERBOARDS ARE MAPLE OR ROSEWOOD, WHICH SOUNDS BIG AND WARM, AND HAVE A 9.5” RADIUS, WHICH IS FLATTER THAN VINTAGE-STYLE BOARDS. MEDIUM JUMBO FRETS DELIVER MODERN FEEL AND IMPROVED PLAYABILITY.
NEARLY ALL AMERICAN STANDARD INSTRUMENTS ARE EQUIPPED WITH SPECIALLY VOICED FENDER CUSTOM SHOP PICKUPS, WHICH OFFER CLASSIC FENDER TONES FROM WARM, SPARKLING AND DYNAMIC FOR THE GUITARS TO POWERFUL, CLEAR AND FOCUSED FOR THE BASSES. THESE PICKUPS PUT A TOUCH OF THE FENDER “DREAM FACTORY” INTO THE AMERICAN STANDARD SERIES.
